"PvP" refers to a function within Mythmonger that allows players to duel with each other.

A player can access the function in two ways:

  • via the "Duel a Friend!" button under the "Play!" button.
  • via the "Duel a Friend" option in a drop-down list when he or she scrolls over the "Friends" tab.

Once at the "PvP" (Duel) main screen, the player can choose to start a new duel or to respond to a duel request.

Starting a new duel requires the player to click on the button "Start a New Duel!", and then to select a friend from a drop-down list, a wager that can be in the form of coins, character cards or challenge cards and a team of five character cards.

The five characters are matched with opponent's characters, and they work the same as normal leader cards (so it's recommendable to take power, element type and card traits into consideration when selecting a team). If the player has dueled before, the last used team will be automatically loaded.

After that, a player can send a duel request to the other player, who can the then choose to reject the duel, or to accept and select his or her own five cards to battle with the initiator.

History and Trivia

This function was introduced in the Nov 17, 2009 update.
