Character cards

Character Cards are the cards players collect which represent characters in the game. Each character has its own stats, story, and motives. Players can collect character cards by winning turns, completing quests, or purchasing them.

The cards players have already collected can be added to their Team in order to be used on their turn to try to collect other character cards. All collected cards contribute to the player's deck power.

Clicking on a card will either flip the card over or open a popup window where you can view the back of the card. The back of the card shows the card's description, traits, restrictions, faction alignment, etc.

Character cards have restrictions which the players must meet in order to be able to use that card. Restrictions can be level, deck power, faction alignment, or the number of cards in the inventory.

For easier reference, you may click the symbol in the respective column headings to change the sort order of the table. Clicking again will reverse the sort order.

1 Indicates a quantity of these cards is needed to complete an objective, so players may consider not selling these cards until the task has been completed.
3 The highest values in this column indicate the best cards to sell to preserve Deck Power.
4 Some cards have no Power Types (i.e "None" power type), such as the beginner Esert cards and the Dream cards. Thus, they usually have no elemental advantage.
5 While most cards belong to one clear faction, some cards, such as the beginner Esert cards and Skeleton King, are perfectly Neutral and are denoted by the word "Neutral". Other cards, such as Hollow Champion, can be off-Neutral (close to Neutral but not perfectly so) and are denoted by "—"; such cards, when used as leaders, will still affect the player's alignment. (Note: With the Nov 17, 2009 update, these off-Neutral cards are officially sorted into various factions; however, the Wiki community is discussing whether having the off-Neutral category here is better, as these cards don't behave like typical faction cards.) Cards, such as the Seeress, can also be a blend of two factions.
6 The blank card actually has a value of infinity as it has no Power Value.

History

MythMonger came out of Beta on 9-09-2009, and several Character Cards were changed. The initially available cards in Esert Village (Goblin Runt, Thugbot, Elven Forester, Failed Wizard, and Blacksmith) have been replaced by "of Esert" versions that do not have Power Types and cannot be turned in to the appropriate repeatable quests.
